DEMOCRAT PARTY.
The provincial organiser for the Democrat Party, Mr T. Donovan, of 'Wellington, was in Feilding yesterday on business connected with the new party. No indication has as yet been received as to whether a Democrat candidate will stand in the Orona electorate. Mr Donovan left later for New Plymouth. It was ascertained this morning that Mr Donovan spent a lengthy period with a prominent business gentleman in Feilding who has had previous political experience, with a view to his acceptance of the Democrat Party nomination for the Oroua electorate. No finality was reached in the discussion aigl the outcome of it will be awaited with interest.
