NAVAL CONFERENCE.
VIEWS ASCERTAINED. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 27, 10.47 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 26. It is stated that the text of the Japanese Government's reply to the British Government’s recent memorandum on the subject of preliminary multilateral conversations in connection with tho Naval Conference due to be held this year under the Washington Treaty was received at the Foreign Office to-day.
It- is understood that the French Government- has already replied to the memorandum.
