• MARTON, Aim. 24. A party of about 45 girls visited Flock House last evening, the outing being organised bv Airs F. Brice. Albs Simpson and t'he junior division of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Supper was served in the ballroom, and Colonel Powles thanked the organisers for their kindness and thoughtfulness for the boys in bringing these parties, and said tbev would all look forward to the next in the not too distant future.
The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Afarton Lodge, ALU., 1.0.0. F. was held last evening, there being a fair attendance. Reports showed that one visiting member was on the sick list, but no members of the lodge. The secretary reported that most of the sick pay for the current vear to date bad been exceptionally light. The correspondence included an invitation to attend the installation ceremonv at Alancliester Lodge. Feilding, and that was accepted. Members who journeyed to Kimbolton Lodge on August 20 reported having had an enjoyable evening. After the usual business was disuosed of the Lecture Alaster. Bro. R. L. Gill. P.G.. held a degree lecture, and minor degrees were conferred on several members. After the lodge closed supper and dancing were enjoyed. Airs C. S. Dawson, of Grey Street, who has b°en spending the last fortnight in AA’ollington, has returned to Afarton.
