TO VISIT JAPAN.
’VARSITY RUGBY TEAM. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Aug. 21. Arrangements have been completed between the New Zealand University Rugby Football Council and the Japanese Rugby Union for a New Zealand University team to visit Japan at the end of this year. The team will leave from Sydney on December 28 and it is expected that it will be absent about three months. There is a possibility that, in addition to the games in Japan, two games will be played at Hong Kong. It is expected tfiat the selector (Air 1\ Alartin Smith) will be in a position to announce the team in a few days’ time.
It has been ascertained that the prospect of a visit has already been arousing considerable interest among the public of Japan.
