REXDALE COMPANY
HIGH QUALITY OF CHEESE,
The annual report of tho llexdale Co-operative Dairy Coy. states: —“Tho directors desire once again to express to suppliers and members of the staff sincere thanks for the effort all have made to bring up to a high level the quality of the milk delivered and the cheese manufactured. Our reports from London are exceedingly iavourable, and this has been brought about only by your co-operation which, wo are confident, will be continued. It is satisfactory to report that prospects for dairy farming are now much brighter then was the case a few months ago, and there is every reason for encouragement. Regarding the previous season, wo were, when all account sales for cheese were to hand, enabled to pay to suppliers a sum equal to id per lb of butterfat more than had been estimated, the average payment for that year being brought up to 9jd per pound. During tho past year monthly advances for butterfat were 8d for July to December and 9d for January to June. The recommendation of the hoard is that the payment for July to December bo now brought up to 9d per pound, and when the returns are to hand for tho large quantities of cheese still unsold a final payment will be made. It is anticipated that this will bring the average payment up to 9jd per pound. At the close of tho annual meeting cheques will be made available as usual. “The directors who retire as by rotation are Messrs W. R. Ross and E. L. Lloyd. Both gentlemen are eligable for re-election and are nominated.
