POPULAR COMMUNITY SINGS.
That Palmerston North welcomes an opportunity for sociable merriment is evidenced by the crowd that attended last week’s sing. A further community smg will be held to-morrow in tho State Theatre, from 12.15 to 1.30 p.m lhesc sings, which arc organised by the committee of the Y.M.C.A. queen, Miss L. -\ll-op are expected to outdo even Christchurch' and Wellington in the matter of numbers and enjoyment. A great programme has been arranged for to-morrow: Miss F. Doherty singing one of her popular numbers; Mr Roy Lester on the saxophone; and Gedson s Aces . with then rhythm, arc among tho artists. Mr J. Selwyn will again he the song leader, while Godson’s Band will supply the music. Further attractions are offered by means of free theatre tickets to occupiers of lucky seats; words of the songs to he sung will be show 11 on the screen; while a loudspeaker outside the theatre will enable those unable to obtain a seat, to enjoy the fun. To-morrow. 12.1 ft to 1.30 p.m.
