AWAHURI WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

At a meeting of the Awahuri Women’s Institute Airs Bond presided over a fair attendance and welcomed visitors and members. Air Paul gave a demonstration oil knitting. It was decided to hold a euchre and dance in .September in aid of the institute funds. Birthday invitations were received from Milson, Bunnythorpe, ColyLon and Makino Institutes. It had been found necessary to postpone the usual monthly meeting to a week later. This meeting should be particularly interesting as the delegate, Airs Henderson, will give her report of the annual conference, and as three other members attended the conference, those present will no doubt hear their views. A vote of thanks was moved to Air Paul for his demonstration. Afternoon tea was handed round.
