At an inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs Margaret Aloysius Baxter, employed, as a barmaid at the Midland Hotel, on July 11, held before the Coroner (Mr A. J. Thomas Grace, licensee of the Midland Hotel, said deceased had been employed by him as a barmaid for the last five years. At 8.45 a.m. on July 11 deceased said she did not feel very well and witness told her to take the day off. Witness then detailed the finding of deceased later, dead in her
room. The discovory of deceased was related in evidence by Audrey Frances Park, a housemaid-waitress employed at the hotel. Deceased had said on occasions that she was troubled with her heart. Evidence was also given by Constable Evans, who detailed the action taken by the police. The Coroner then delivered his verdict as stated.
