(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSuN, Aug. 1. On Tuesday evening a team from the Terraco End A division of the B grade table tennis competitions visited Hudson for a match with tho local team in the second round, the visitors being defeated by 19 games to 17. Terrace End defeated tho local team on tho last occasion they mot by 26 games to 10, but on this occasion were without tho services of two of their regular players, which enabled the local team to win by a narrow margin. The individual scores were as follow, Aidson players being mentioned first: —W. Cater lost to 11. Skinner, 27—31, beat R. Stewart 31—24, B. Smith 31—22, A. Mutch 31—14, D. Horn 31—8, S. Ladyman 31—22; P. Cater lost to Skinner 24- —Oi, boat Stewart 31—26, lost to Smith 25—31, boat Mutch 33—31, Horn 31—19, Ladyman 31—21; J. Avison lost to Skinner 20—31, Stewart 19—31, Smith 28—31, Mutch 24—31, beat Horn 31 —16, Ladyman 31—12; D. Bridcwell lost to Skinner 26—31, Stewart 29—31, Smith 30—32, beat Mulch 31—29, Horn 31 —21, Ladyman 31 —20; A. Gilbert lost to Skinner 30—32, Stewart 30—32, Smith 23—31, Mutch 29—31, beat Horn 31—23, Ladyman 31—29; Miss M. Lennox lost to Skinner 22—31, beat Stewart 31—24, lost to Smith 29—31, Mutch 29—31, beat Horn 31—9, Ladyman 31—16. At the conclusion of the games the players wore entertained at supper by members of the local .club. The B team were drawn to meet Feilding on Tuesday evening, and after journeying there to play found that Feilding had defaulted. Last Friday afternoon the local school Rugby football team visited Terrace End for a match and were defeated by 16 points to 5, Terraco End registering four tries, two of wihch were converted, while Jack Robbie scored for the local team, and Keith Wright converted. The Milson players were: M. Koehler, K. Wright, A. McDonald, J. Rac, E. Buhner, L. Chalk, A. Eaton, J. Robbie, C. Robbie, J. McAvoy, J. Blackwell, D. Hutchison, G. Barclay, W. Hoskins, and C. Shand. Air G. M- Richmond, of Montreal Street, is at present confined to his home with a sprained ankle, which he injured while at work. The friends of Mr S. Pepper of Montreal Street, will bo pleased to hear that ho has again boon discharged from hospital. Mrs Baikey, of Cambridge Street, is at present an inmate of tho Palmerston North Hospital; her friends will wish her a speedy recovery.
