SIR A. HER DAI AN’S REAIARKS. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Aug. 2. Interviewed to-day, the aeting-Pre-mier (Sir Ay>red Ransom) said lie was disinclined to discuss in general terms tlie statement made by Sir Alexander Heriiman, but he said the opportunity would be taken to reply when Sir Alexander had announced tho details of his policy. There was one point, however, he desired to refer to. That was the statement by Sir Alexander Herdnian regarding the sacrifice? made by the people during the depression. Sir Allred Ransom said it would ■be interesting to know wlmt sacrifices Sir Alexander Herdnian had made in the country’s interest.
