PRICE OF SUGAR.
PROFIT UNLIKELY. LONDON, July 31. A White Paper states that, with the world price of sugar at the present level of about 4s 6d per cwt., it is sale to assume that no country can produce sugar at a profit. Tho maximum subsidy payable on the 1936 cron will be £2,940,(XK), and duty payable will be £2,300,(XX). The not cost to tile State will be £640,000.
