RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A committee meeting of the Itnngitikci Racing Club was held on Monday night, when preliminary arrangements for the annual meeting next month were made. Mr J. 11. Perrett was in the chair and there were alsjO present:—Messrs A. Amon, F. O. Bailey, G. 11. Archer, E. A. Caldow, K. MeK. Duncan, R. MoKelvie, R. Mackay, John Trickcr, J. E. Walker and D. W. Wilson. Leave of absence was granted the secretary (Mr E. V. Wilson) with whom a motion of sympathy wns passed in his bereavement. A vote of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mrs T. F. Richardson, the Into Mr Richardson having been for many years a steward of the club. The report of the delegates to the Racing Conference. Messrs J. If. Perrett and J. R. L. Stanford, was received and they wero accorded a vote of thanks for their work. A discussion followed on tho dates allotted Rnngitikoi, via., November 2 and March 4, tho latler date being indefinite. General regret was expressed that the conference had hoon unable to accede to tho dntes originally applied for. It was decided to erect shoep yards on tho racecourse property. Tho committee recommended that the following be mado lifo members of tho club:—Miss Vera Seoft, Messrs Jus. Bull, .1 B. Johnstone. John Ellery and W. A. Doughty. Mr Bull has a splendid record of 53 voars as n member. It was resolved that life-membership badges bo procured and that (hoy bo presented at the annual meeting of the club. Favourable comment was made upon llie greatly improved condition of the course proper. The committee considered that this reflected great credit upon the now caretaker.
