DAMAGED LINER.
TEN DAYS FOR REPAIRS. . VICTORIA (8.C.), July IS. It is estimated that it will require 10 days to effect repairs to the finer Niagara, which was damaged in a collision with the freighter King Egbert in the Straits of Juan de Fuc-a, 23 miles west of the Race Rocks and 40 miles off Vancouver. Twenty of the Niagara’s passengers have signified their intention of returning to Australia via San Francisco. slr J. A. Lyons will take steamer to Seattle today' and from there will proceed to San Francisco by railway and connect with the Mariposa, sailing on Tuesday.
