THE MOTOR TRADE.

MEMBERS MEET AT DINNER. Arising from a friendly contest on the hockey field, the two elevens, together with tlie majority of members of the staff of the two firms concerned, met at a dinner in the Royal Dutch Lounge on Jhursday night, when Messrs Justice and Edmunds’s team were the guests of Messrs Porter and Fowler. Mr P. Fowler presided, and apologised for the absence of Messrs It. Porter and H. E. Edmunds, principals of the two firms, both of whom had been called out of town. A gathering to the number of 40 sat down to an excellent dinner, and later a social hour was enjoyed, during which the toast of the, winning team (Justice and Edmunds) was proposed by Dir C. Culpan, captain of the losing side, and responded to by Mr C. S. Lawson. Songs and stories, with community singing, assisted towards making the function a most successful one, while bringing the staffs of the two firms into close association.
