APPEAL DISMISSED.

PENALISED JOCKEY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 19. The appeal of the jockey A. J. Gilmer, the rider of Ruby Aleteor in the Wellington Steeplechas-e last week, was dismissed by the Wellington District Committee at a special meeting today. Gilmer was suspended For three months' by the Wellington Racing Club’s judicial committee on the finding that he had deliberately attempted to run Valpeen off at the last fence, and. it was against this decision that lie appealed.
