"GALLIPOLI" IN BRITAIN . — The remarkable likeness of Lleyn Peninsula, Carnarvonshire, to Gallipoli, was utilised by Manchester Territorials encamped at Carnarvon to stage a miniature reproduction of the Dardanelles campaign from the point of view of the Turk. For the first time aeroplanes, autogiros and radio vans were used by the Territorials for dealing with the wounded. A “wounded ” soldier on a hill and stretcher bearers arriving.
