Proposals for brightening up the interior of the produce hall with a scheme of artistically painted canvases were placed before the general committee of the Manawntu and West Coast A. and P. Association, yesterday, the cost of doing one end being estimated at £2O and of the general scheme at about £6O. Supporting the suggestion,, Mr J. J. Stevenson commented that ho was strongly in favour of any change in that direction, as far as the finances would permit. They had to be alive to changing conditions, and the alterations made for the Winter Show were a vindication of that progressive policy. The matter' was referred to the asnsciation’s finance coniriiitteo for a report.
