GARRISON BAND.

The Palmerston North Garrison Band presented an enjoyable programme in the Square on Sunday. The items were as follow: —March, “The Elephant” (Orel Hume); hymn, “Lead Kindly Light” (Sullivan); fantasia, “American Beauties” (Greenwood); euphonium solo, “Sunshine of Your Smile” (Ord Hume), solosit, Air L. Curtis; selection, “Happy Memories” (Greenwood); cornet solo, “I Hear You Calling Me” (Masshar), soloist, Mr B. Register, “Minstrel Songs” (Raymond); euphonium solo, “Bonny Mary of Argyie” (Nelson); march, “The Middy” (Alford). \ The band also presented a \ programme at tlie Hospital recently despite the unpleasant conditions of the afternoon, the programme being greatly appreciated by the inmates. Air C. Pike was the conductor in each case.
