LINE DOG-SPIKED.

ATTEMPT TO WRECK TRAIN. What is believed to have been a deliberate attempt to wreck the LismoreBnllina (New South Wales) train by placing obstructions on the line, was made in a small cutting on the Booyong branch. A number of dog spikes had been placed along the Tine, and only the fact.that the train was travelling on an up grade when the engine struck the obstacles, and became derailed, averted a serious accident. The permanent way was torn up for 60) yards, but the service was restored after a delay of half an hour. The train, in addition to a crew of three, carried two passengers. All escaped injury. ... Police are investigating the occurrence.
