(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, June 24. In a stirring contest at Manakau on Saturday Otaki seniors beat the home team, 14—3. Otaki have' seldom played better football, R. Merwood, who was given a trial in the All Black series, proved his worth. Athletic beat YY’anderors, 12—3. The winners at the euchre tournament at Otaki Railway Theatre on Saturday night were Airs ’ YV. Cootes and Mr B. Julius. At the Raukawa social oil Friday night the winners were Mr Hohipuha and Mrs Hakarata. Mrs Jarmcy was to-day taken to the YVellington Hospital for' treatment. Mro Evans and Mr S. Pepper have re-entered the Palmerston North Hospital. l’ackakariki ladies beat Otaki in a game of golf at Paekakartki on Saturday.
