COLYTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, June 24. Afombers of the Colyton Afcthodist Church held tho annual missionary social on Thursday evening, when an interesting address on the Ceylon and Indian Alissions was delivered by Alajor Radcliffe, who was at one timo a resident of Colyton. Her talk was listened to by a very attentive audience. Rev. J. R. Aletcalfo also spoke on tho work being carried on in the Solomon Islands mission fields, and both woro heartily thanked by Air \V. J. Smith, on behalf of those present. Solos rendered by Mr Guy were enjoyed, Aliss Gifford acting as organist. Supper was served by the ladies.
The School Committee met on Tuesday evoning, when Mr J. Crook occupied the chair. After the usual business bad'been attended to and the headmaster’s report road, arrangements wore made to bold the children's annual fancy dress ball on July 12. Tho headmaster bad undertaken to train the children, and with the parents’ co-operation in the matter of costumes, a happy and successful evening is anticipated.
