The weekly shoot of the Bulls Miniature Rifle Club, postponed from Monday night, was held on Tuesday, when, owing to counter-attractions, tliere was a smaller attendance than usual. N. Anion repeated his iinu performance of a fortnight ago by scoring a doublo possible. Details are as follow : —N. Amon, 70 —70—140; C. M. Broughton, 69—70—139; R. White, 68 —66— 134; <J. Anderson, 64 —68—132; G. Ellery, 64 —67—131; A. Tattle, 62—58—120; S. Harris, 63—61—124; A. Walker, 46—59—105; R. McKenzie, 65; A. Connolly, 47. . The Ohakea team recorded 1097 in an inter-club shoot this week, dropping only 23 points on the aggregate possible. The Bulls Town Hall was crowded to capacity last night, when the Parewanui Social Committee staged its dance and euchre party in aid of the school funds. For the non-dancers there were cards, this section of the entertainment being in the charge of Mr O. Reid. Supper arrangements were in the capablo hands of iYlesdaines Cole and Abraham and Misses Brown. A splendid programme of novelty and old-tinio dance music was provided. Messrs IV. Holland and W. Hurt were M.C’s. Those successful in the cards tournament wero Mr P. Lovell (12 games) and Airs J. Hart, Marton (10£ games), after a play-off with Miss Lott and Airs Larsen. The consolation prizes were awarded to Airs N. Anderson and Air T. Rogers. During the supper interval Alcssrs C. Sharp (Otaki) and P. Rewiti played for extra dances and a novelty was provided by Air fcj. Bills (Palmerston North), who gave an exhibition of the tap dance'. A Alonto Carlo valeta was won by Aliss L. Rogers and partner and spot waltz by Aliss Holland and partnor. Airs J. T. Horne, Woodville, who has been the guest of Airs H. J. Hendry during tho week, has returned home. Mr and Airs H. J. Hendry visited Alasterton during the holiday week-end.
