GAMING CHARGE.
FINE ON WOMAN. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 4. Kathleen Nora Poulsen, aged 32, a storekeeper, of Brougham Street, was fined £2O and costs by the Magistrate (Mr E. C. Levvey) to-day on a charge of using her shop as a common gaming house. The police said that there had been numerous complaints. Six bets had been made with accused by constables, and later detectives had searched the premises, betting slips being found. Presumably she was an agent.
