MOTOR GLIDERS.

BRITISH RESTRICTIONS. The Daily Mail states that representations by Lord Sempill and Mr Gordon England, co-directors of Robert Kronfeld’s glider-building enterprise, are expected to secure an early abolition of restrictions which are stifling the development of gliders. Their removal would enable thousands of young men to learn to fly. Kronfeld’s machine is a Drone monoplane, capable of flying 50 miles on one gallon. At present only pilots with glider licenses are allowed to fly motorgliders, and must not go more than three miles from the aerodrome without permission. Motor-gliders would be a boon to flying clubs, and would hugely increase private flying.
