GIFT TOWARDS COST. SINGAPORE, May 2. Half a million pounds Iras been voted by the Johore State Council for the acceleration of work on the Singapore defences.
This is a Jubilee gift from the richest state iu Malaya, which is expected soon to he included in the new defence works.
