The returns of the oversea trade of the Commonwealth for the nine months ended March 31 disclosed a favourable balance of £10,976,000 (sterling). For the nine months ol the present fiscal year the favourable commodity balance was £5,971,000 (sterling), as compared with £3,780,000 for the corresponding period of the previous year. Employment at the end of March was 1.6 per cent, greater than a year ago.
