PAHIATUA, March 13. J The Pahiatua Presbyterian G'hurch ladies’ guild held a garden party at the I residence of Mr and Mrs AV. R. Rich- j ardson yesterday afternoon. The stalls i were well laden and those in charge were: —Needlework, Mesdames AV. R. J Richardson, Carrad and K. L. War- i ren ; produce, Airs J. E. McDonald; sweets, Miss A. Henderson; cake, Mrs j E. E. Etz : afternoon tea and supper, j Airs A. East in charge. The competition winners were as follow: —Mrs H. I Henderson and Mrs A. J. Fairweather; j clock golf in afternoon, Airs AlcKenzie ! junr. (ladies), and Air F. Anderson (men); clock golf in evening, Aliss At. Richardson (ladies), and Air N. Lett (men) ; clock croquet. Airs Ross (ladies), and Air A. AA’allcer (men); stepping competition, Air Al. Richardson. ' Aliss Ella AVilson is spending a holiday in AVellington.
