NEW AIRCRAFT SHIP.
Received March 14. 10.40 a.m. LONDON, March 13.
The Admiralty has placed an order for a new aircraft carrier, the Ark Royal, of 10,000 tons, with Messrs Cammell Laird, Birkenhead. This will provide work for 2000 men for two years. The cost is between £2,000,000 and £2,500,000.
