MANAWATU-OR OUA SOCIETY’S SALE. DISAPPOINTING PRICES. The autumn sale of registered lfigs, held under the auspices of the Manawatu-Oroua branch of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association, was concluded by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., at the Showgrounds yesterday afternoon. The catalogue comprised 116 excellent quality animals, hut despite tho presence of a very fair bench of buyers the prices realised were somewhat disappointing to tho vendors. Berkshires met with the best reception and the top price was realised by Mr W. P. Bickers for his sow Ridgeland’s Success. Messrs N. P. Nielsen, Tiakitahuna, and G. M. AVhitelock, Newbury, acted as the association’s inspectors, and they commented very favourably on the quality of the entries.
