STUDENTS VISIT PARLIAMENT. Something new but entirely practical in education, and not mentioned m the syllabus, was provided for fifty senior pupils of the Palmerston North Technical School, yesterday, when they paid a visit to AA’ellington. During the morning they went by bus on observation tour of the city, visiting points of historical interest. In the afternoon the party were shown over Parliament Buildings by Messrs J. A. Nash and J. Linklater, Al.P.’s, who gave lecturettes on procedure and arranged for the students to have seats m .the gallery during the afternoon sitting. Tlie visitors heard the House discuss a variety of topics dealt with in reports bv committee, and subsequently saw the 'House go into Committee on the Broadcasting Bill. Tlie proceedings proved thoroughly interesting, and before their departure, the pupils were the guests of Air and Airs Nash and Air Linklater, tlie latter apologising for the unavoidable absence of Airs Linklater. In appropriate terms lan Dustin and Sheila Heath conveyed to the hosts and hostess the appreciation of the students for the interesting programme that had been arranged.
