PROVISION FOR BATTLESHIP. Received March 13, 1.10 p.m. PARIS, March 12. Cabinet lias decided, pending the introduction of two-year military service, that conscripts will be recruited to serve eighteen months; those recruited in October will serve two The Government has tabled a_ Bill authorising the building of a 35,000ton battleship after January 1, 193/. in addition to that already included in the 1935 programme. It adds that tho proposal enables it to keeji within the Washington Tonnage.
