Cr. M. A. Moody, who has been indisposed, was, at to-day’s meeting of the Kairanga County Council, welcomed by the chairman (Cr. D. Collis) on taking his seat at the council table. Inspector S. llawle, who has been elected a member of the Palmerston North Rotary Club, was cordially welcomed at the weekly luncheon of the club yesterday. ' Mr 0. McElroy. of Feilding, is at present a patient of a private hospital in Palmerston North. The Ma.nawatuOroua Power Board passed a motion of sympathy with him in granting him leave of absence.
