THE JAMES COOK.

TRANS-TASMAN SERVICE. Received March 11, 5.5 a.m. SYDNEY, March 9. The steamer James Cook, which is to enter the trans-Tasman arrived here yesterday from the United Kingdom. A steel vessel of 2142 tons, it was originally built for the carriage of locomotives, steel girders and large machinery. Its hatches are of 62 feet %nd there are manv unusual features.
