AOKAUTERE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKAUTERE, March 8. * A very successful euchre party and dance was held in the hall on Wednesday evening to raise funds for the Cricket Club. Visitors were present from Whakarongo, liOngburn, Tiritea and Palmerston North. The euchre tables were full and later, dancing was indulged in until a late hour. The winners of the euchre prizes were Mrs L. Hastings and Mr A. Crowe, while the consolation prizes wore annexed by Mrs A. Lawrence and Mr Tait. The winner! of tho competition was Mr S. McNabb, of Whakarongo. Mr and Mrs A. Brill carried off tho prizes for the Monte Carlo waltz. Music for tho dancing was kindly supplied by Miss G. Lawrence, Messrs R. Brill, W. Greer and L. Craven, while Mr Kristonscn ably carried out the duties of M. Supper was served by an energetic men’s committee. At a suitable interval, Mr J. P. Robertson, club captain, extended the club’s thanks to the visitors for their support and to all who had in any way helped to make tho function such a social and financial success.
