IRISH FOLKLORE.
PRESERVATION FOR POSTERITY. LONDON, March 9. The Free State has appointed a commission to collect oral and written folklore, authorising the expenditure of £3250 for five years. Collectors will travel the country with machines, recording stories and songs and old people’s recollections of Irish life, customs and traditions.
