WELLINGTON TEAM’S VISIT. MATCH WITH HIGH SCHOOL. The Palmerston North Boys’ High School first eleven was to-day engaged in the annual match with the representative eleven from the Wellington Cricket Association’s boys 1, grade. The Wellington team has made three previous visits to Palmerston North, the arrangement being that the matches shall be played at this centre. High School won the toss in to-day’s match, which was staged at the school grounds, and Spelman put his team in to bat. At the close of the morning’s play, which was of about two hours’ duration. High School had scored 81 runs for 6 wickets. Pollitt contributed 23, and the only other batsman to reach double figures was Hearsey, who made 17. Hurcombe had the fine bowling average of 4 wickets for 5 runs, although Jepson had sent down 6 maiden overs in 11 and had only 11 runs hit off his deliveries.
