BRIDGE OVER WAIKATO.
NEAV HAMILTON STRUCTURE. HAMILTON, March 2. Steady progress is being made with the foundations of the new bridge across the AVaikato River- at the northern borough boundary. ■ The piers on the eastern bank are being made ready for concreting, and work has commenced on the last series of piles to be driven.
Unusually hard ground lias been struck at the site of the pier in the stream near the western bank.
