JANUARY BUTTERFAT.

ADVANCE OF 9:1 PER POUND. An advance of 9d per lb for January supplies of butterfat has been decided upon by the Rongotea, Kairanga, AwaInui. Cheltenham and New Zealand Farmers’ Dairy Union companies against January supplies of butterfat. All the above factories report a drop in production of about 20 per cent., due to seasonal conditions, and owing to the present condition of the pastures and the lateness of the season very litlu hope is entertained that the leeway will be made lip even if the grass does come away later in the autumn.
