STATE’S FINAL EVIDENCE. FLEMINGTON, Jan. 23. The State, in its final evidence .in the Hauptmann trial, introduced a wood technicologist, who purported to trace the historv of the wood in the ladder showing that the attic flooring was used in its manufacture and that Hauptmann’s plane dressed that timber. Another witness testified that the ransom notes were written on the same kind of notepaper as was found in Hauptmann’s home after his arrest. The message published yesterday stated that tne prosecution began to complete its evidence with the introduction of a ladder allegedly used in tho kidnapping, and a witness from whom Hauptmann had rented a house .in the Bronx who declared that the flooring boards in the attic had disappeared, and another witness who testified that this boarding was used for a ladder.
