WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Tho Wellington stock and. share market was quiet yesterday, with a slightly easier tendency. Government loans were not in such strong demand, though prices were steady. Banks remained fairly steady, though Commercial of Australia were easier, with sellers dropping to 16s Bd, and buyers to 16s 3d. New Zealand were fractionally easier, with a sale at 60s lOd, with buyers offering 50s Gd. Reserve Bank changed hands at £6 13s. Insurance shares were quieter, though values ruled firm. In tbe mining section, Big River dropped considerably, with buyers offering Is 7d, 8d down on Wednesday, and sellers at 2e IJd. Mount Morgan also eased, with buyers at 39s 6d and sellers at 40s 2d.
