BUMPS IN ROADS.
TWO UNEVEN STRETCHES,
Attention was drawn by the president (Mr N. H. blackie). at a meeting of the blanawatu Automobile Association, last evening, to the uneven and bumpy state of tlie sections of main road between the city boundary and Awapuni along Foxton Line, and between tjie Kairniiga-Bunnytliorpe Road and the Newbury corner, along Rangitikei Line.
Mr D. Collis, who is chairman of the Ka-irnnga County Council, commented that the section - to Awapuni had been laid down without a subsidy in the early days of surface sealing, and had admittedly become' very wavy. The other piece of road had been surfaced last year. The council would effect improvements as soon as possible. It was decided to defer action until the North Island Motor Union had discussed the problem of ironing out such corrugations in permanent surfacing.
