MOTHER LODE GOLD.
FOUND IN KLONDIKE. “Mother lode” of the famous Klondike gold deposits, which attracted thousands of fortune seekers into the Yukon more than 30 years ago and which has l>een the objective .of intensive search by mining men ever since, has at last been discovered, according to Air George Black, Speaker of the Canadian House of Commons and for many years member of Parliament for the Yukon. The mother lode, says Air Black, lies 50 miles north of Carmack, the little town named for one of the discoverers of the first Klondike gold, and about 30 miles from Five Finger Rapids on the Yukon River. The lode properties, which indicate the original place from which glacial action tore down mountain tops and from them distributed over the Klondike area at least a. portion of the 250,000,000 dollars won by hard toil of the miners, are now in possession of Noah Timmins and associates, of Toronto.
