The farmers were very pleased with tho recent rain, and the pastures have become greener already. The first mushrooms of the season having been gathered this week, no doubt they will soon become plentiful when the ground receives more moisture. Mr M. Melton, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs Whittle. Mrs Chapped and Miss J. Chappell, of Hastings, are visiting Te Arnkura and are the guests of Air and Mrs Whisker, Cameron’s Line.
