FRESH OUTBREAKS.
FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE. London files to hand state that further outbreaks of foot and mouth disease have occurred in England lately. An outbreak of foot and mouth disease among pigs is reported from Egliam (Surrey). This followed an outbreak at AVraysbury (Bucks) during the previous week. As a result of tiie Egliam outbreak, elaborate precautions were taken to prevent any traffic stopping in Windsor Great Park, which was closed to the public for the first time in living memory, Police, assisted by special men, were on duty on the main Ascot to Windsor road through the Park, and immediately a car stopped it was moved on. Side roads were all patrolled. Only those haring direct business with the" residences on the royal estate were allowed to pass. Disinfected straw to a depth of several inches was put down ns a precaution against the danger to deer. The park was expected to be closed for three weeks.
