Porewa replied to Old Boys’ score of 111 witli 301 in Saturday’s cricket fixtures, the total being made in 2J hours. D. A. Cameron contributed 105. Marton and Huntervillo met in the other game, Marton winning. Marton made 87 and Hunterville 62.
The continued dry weather is having its effect on the borough water supply, the reading at the waterworks this morning being 20ft. 6in., which is 4ft. 6in. below capacity. It is estimated that if the supply is not replenished, the fall will be at the rate of 6 inches weekly. Mrs Fullerton-Smith and Miss Ful-lerton-Smith, Marton, and Mrs lan Cruieksnank, Otorolianga, left yesterday to spend the rest of the month at Mrs FullertonSinith’s cottage at Otaki Beach. Mr R. S. Fullerton-Smith has left Marton to reside for the future in the Hunterville district.
