PARACHUTE DESCENTS.
EXHIBITION AT MILSON. Though there was rather a high wind blowing, the weather was good for two parachute descents made by FlyingOfficer J. S. ( “Scotty”) Fraser, at the Milson aerodrome yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance of tho public. Tho descents were made from a Gipsy Moth ’plane piloted by SquadronLeader M. C. McGregor, the club’s instructor. The first jump, made from a height of 1300 ft., was splendid, FlyingOfficer Fraser landing safely within the confines of the aerodrome. From 3000 ft up he made his second jump, and though the wind battered the parachute, he landed in a paddock close to the aerodrome.
Passenger flights were made during the afternoon, and in the fast MilesHawk machine Squadron-Leader McGregor gave a thrilling display of aerobatics.
