MANAWATU RACING CLUB.
CHRISTMAS MEETING. The Manawatu Racing Club has made increases of £25 each in the stake money attached to the principal handicaps on the second and third day at the forthcoming Christmas meeting, while there are smaller increases in seven of the other events. Forco of circumstances has necessitated the deletion of the Palmerston North Stakes in the meantime, and the substitution of a Champion Hack Handicap, of £l5O, seven furlongs, should prove to be _ a popular move with owners as well as with patrons. The Manawatu Cup still carries a stake of £4OO. . . , , . A reminder is given owners and trainers that nominations for all events are due on Tuesday night at 8 o’clock.
