ANIMAL WELFARE.
S.P.C.A. MEETING.
Miss E. M. Wright presided at a meeting of the Feilding branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals this week.. The Feilding Club forwarded £8 towards the society’s funds, the amount being the proceeds of the recent show. Thanks were accorded Mrs V. Morphy, Miss Sinclair, Miss M. Petrie and all others concerned for their efforts on behalf of the society.
Mr A. It. Taylor, inspector, forwarded his resignation as inspector, one of the committee members consenting to act pending another inspector being appointed. The committee decided to forward a letter of thanks to Mr Rowe, of Rongoteh, for his kindness in dealing with the bobby calf trade during the past season. Thanks were also expressed to Mr Mills, of the Feilding railway station, for the interest he has displayed in regard to stock traffic at the Feilding station. To Mr C. A. Philip an expression of thanks was also conveyed for the time and interest he has shown in matters concerning the society’s activities.
