PRAISE EOR COMMISSION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. The annual conference of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand was held on Wednesday. Mr Bucholtz | was asked to accept the position of president for a further twelve months and did so. Mr Kitson (Christchurch) was appointed vice-president. Among the matters dealt with was consideration of the Companies Promotion Commission. It was considered that the Government' had acted very wisely in appointing a commission to inquire into the methods of company promotion, also into a number of issues of bonds and debentures sold to the public mainly by the method of door-to-door salesmanship. It was noted with satisfaction that the Shareholders Act had received attention and was the subject of a recommendation for revision, Erom the length of the Commission’s report it_ was apparent to the association that it had made a close study of all matters within its scope qnd had done a vast amount of very important and able work, which merited the utmost commendation.
