SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.

There was a large attendance at the Technical School assembly hall last evening, when the evening pupils held their annual breaking-up function. An enjoyable programme was arranged a pd was conducted under the direction of Mr G. G. Hancox. A pianoforte item was given by Miss Betty Perrin, a vocal solo by Miss Mac Gibbon, and a tap dance by Mr W. Allan. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss P. Sebe1m and Mr G. Robinson. Miss Anderson played .music for an extra dance. Supper was served by a committee directed by Miss Mac Gibbon. The committee m charge of the arrangements comprised Misses J. Rowntree, P. Rodclen, M. Beattie, T. Holmes, J. Hands (secretary), an d Messrs D. Mitchell, H. Dawick, C. Prouse and G. Stopples.
